Dear Spammers

Dear Spammers,

Thanks for keeping my spam filters working at the highest level.  It’s a great service you offer.  All that time you dedicate to thinking up catchy subject lines and innovative ways to either steal my cash or infect my laptop with some nifty virus!  What a surplus of time you have!  I wonder what the hit rate is?  1 in 1000 poor souls click on the link because an until-now-unknown relative has left them 5 million pounds inheritance?  Or because SARS wants to reimburse them R100000 (even less probable than the figurative British relative)?  It’s extraordinarily creative, not to mention dedicated, to keep on sending out mails knowing that spam filters are dumping your carefully thought out crap into my junk mail folder.  You must really have a passion for fabricated bollocks.  And perhaps a well cultivated disdain for other people trying to go about their day without having low class fiction thrown at them, clogging up their mail boxes and sending actual legitimate emails to the trash.

I hope you have a suitably horrible day,

Jenny

P.S.

All comments from professional spammers welcome.  I would love to know what makes you do what you do and whether you really are as stupid as you come across.

Rhino bags

A while ago I wrote a post about the scourge of rhino poaching.  It’s been hitting the headlines all month, with some major arrests made today.  Woolies has got involved making reusable bags.  All funds from sales go towards anti-poaching initiatives.  I like.  Let’s get proactive.

Pull in to these

I found these gorgeous under things via Kim Gray.  Such pretty colours and patterns, and I just love girl boxers!  The boy’s range is equally cool.  I might just have to order some Pull In goodies!

Zara online

Yay for Zara being online finally.  But nay for us South Africans being unable to buy!

Still, I love these styles, even if I can only look and not touch:

All I want for Christmas…

I am loving design store Entropy in Melville.  I have my heart set on a black sheep and a white sheep from Ronel Jordaan, an nguni head or two from Nikki Swanepoel and the beyond clever loves-me-loves-me-not table from Vogel.

I also saw these lovely wall looks from  at 44 Stanley.  I think they will look so lovely in my new place!

Ceramic loves

I’m in love with ceramics.  I recently bought a gorgeous turquoise bunny brooch from Carla da Cruz.  It’s adorable.  I found some other ceramic designers via Find-Design, a SA site dedicated to listing our amazing designers (in all design fields).  A super resource!
